Installation

Carpet splicing is an important process in roll carpet installation. It is essential to keep the carpet splicing in the same direction as much as possible, at least within the same room, to avoid visual color differences caused by varying carpet fiber directions. Areas with high foot traffic or direct sightlines should be avoided for splicing; patterns should align as much as possible. Since this is a machine-made carpet, achieving absolute uniformity in the pitch of each roll is not possible. If there is a deviation, the carpet can be manually adjusted, especially in large areas such as hotel lobbies or banquet halls. Begin laying the carpet from the center of the room outwards, following the pattern and order of the carpet number. First, lay the carpet on the cushion and turn it to assess the pattern before cutting and splicing. When ironing the seams, work from the center of the room to the ends to minimize errors.
