Carpet Splicing
Carpet splicing is an important process in roll carpet installation. Generally, it is necessary to keep the carpet splicing in the same direction as much as possible, at least within the same room, to avoid visual color differences due to varying carpet pile directions. The splicing position should be avoided in areas with heavy foot traffic or direct lines of sight; for patterned carpets, efforts should be made to align the designs. Since this is a machine-made carpet, achieving perfect alignment in the pitch of each roll is impossible. If there is a deviation in the seams, the carpet can be manually adjusted, especially in large areas like hotel lobbies or banquet halls. Begin laying the carpet from the center of the room to both sides, following the pattern and order of the carpet numbers. First, lay the carpet on the cushion and turn it to assess the pattern before cutting, splicing, and finishing the seams. When ironing the seams, start from the center of the room towards both ends to minimize embossing errors.
