Assembling Methods
Carpet splicing is a crucial process in roll carpet installation. It is essential to keep the carpet splicing in the same direction as much as possible, ideally within the same room, to avoid visual color differences caused by varying carpet hair directions. Avoid placing seams in high-traffic areas or where they can be easily seen; for patterned carpets, strive to align the patterns during splicing. Due to the machine-made nature of the carpet and the inherent variability in the fabric structure, achieving perfect alignment across rolls is not always possible. If there is a deviation in the seams, the carpet can be manually adjusted, especially in large areas such as hotel lobbies or banquet halls. Start laying the carpet from the center of the room to the sides, following the carpet pattern and numbering order. It is advisable to lay the carpet on the cushion first to familiarize yourself with the pattern before cutting, splicing, and finalizing the installation. When ironing the seams, work from the center of the room towards both ends to minimize errors in the embossing. For more options, check out our Nylon Printed Carpet collection.
