Axminster carpet is composed of warp yarn, weft yarn, and pile warp. The material of the warp yarn is 100% polyester. The weft yarn is made of jute or polypropylene (PP), with most being PP due to its resistance to mold in humid environments. The carpet consists of 80% wool and 20% nylon.

Production Line

This is the Axminster process. The width is 4 meters, which means the machines are quite large. Behind the machine is the creel, a tube of creels in various colors, hung on a shelf. From here, the weaving process begins. The yarn is transported to the front through the tube. Finally, the carpet undergoes inspection, repair, and packaging. Before shipment, every square meter of carpet is inspected to ensure it meets our quality standards before being delivered to the customer.

Assembling Methods

Carpet splicing is a crucial process in roll carpet installation. It is essential to align the carpet splicing in the same direction as much as possible, especially within the same room, to avoid visual color differences caused by varying carpet pile directions. Areas with heavy foot traffic or direct lines of sight should be avoided for splicing; for patterned carpets, it is important to align the floral designs. Since this is a machine-made carpet, achieving perfect alignment in the pitch of each roll is not always possible. If there is a deviation in the layout, the carpet can be manually adjusted, particularly in large areas like hotel lobbies or banquet halls. The carpet should be laid from the center of the room outward, following the pattern and order of the carpet rolls. It is advisable to first lay the carpet on the cushion and turn it to preview the design before cutting and splicing. When ironing the seams, start from the center of the room to both ends to minimize embossing errors.
