Carpet Splicing
Carpet splicing is an important process in roll carpet installation. Generally, it is essential to keep the carpet splicing aligned in the same direction as much as possible, at least within the same room, to avoid visual color differences due to varying carpet pile directions. It is advisable to avoid areas with heavy foot traffic or direct sightlines; patterns on the carpet should be matched as closely as possible. Since it is a machine-made carpet, achieving perfect alignment in the pitch of each roll is not feasible. If there is a deviation in the layout, the carpet can be manually adjusted, particularly in large spaces such as hotel lobbies or banquet halls. Start from the center of the room and work outward, following the carpet pattern and order. Lay the carpet on the cushion and adjust it to understand the pattern before cutting, splicing, and finishing. When ironing the seams, work from the center of the room towards both ends to minimize any discrepancies.
